Abstract :
Convolutional codes require either termination bits or tailbiting in order to maintain constant error correcting ability across the entire data frame. Termination reduces throughput but the more efficient tailbiting technique has applied only to feedforward encoders. A tailbiting system is proposed for recursive systematic codes, which combines the advantages of these codes and tailbiting
