Abstract :
Ever increasing user of electronic devices and high-data-rate applications has lead to continuous growing data traffic and hence carbon dioxide emission. Economical and environmental concern needs improved energy efficient network. As an energy efficient solution needs to outperform under various dynamic situations like varying traffic load, mobility, interference conditions etc Keeping in view of energy efficiency in wireless networks this paper aims at providing an extensive survey of the various researches at network architecture level for minimizing energy consumption in wireless mobile networks. A brief overview of the ongoing projects has also been discussed.
