Abstract :
The new trend of learning the Holy Quran, using automated technologies has emerged into surge of developing IT (Information Technology) applications that could ease the retrieval of knowledge from the Quran. In this paper, we propose a unifying framework to facilitate the development of a wide variety of Quranic applications for retrieval of knowledge. Various forms of transliterations are imported into the Quran database through the `Quran search API´. Based on the search results, transliterations (in multiple languages) and recitations can be retrieved. The underlying work concentrate on cloud based programming interface, as part of the development methodology that facilitates the search of Quranic text in the transliteration space, and makes it possible to develop entire Quranic application in languages other than Arabic. The transliteration of entire Quran in Urdu language has been successfully developed. It is undoubtedly the unique task that has been done for the first time. Utmost care has been taken for the accuracy and pronunciation of transliteration. This is a continuous research work, and we aim to update the community with more progress in future in other areas of knowledge retrieval of Holy Quran.
