Abstract :
Some methods of investigating the characteristics of down-coming wireless waves, developed at the Peterborough Radio Research Station, are described. The results of the application of these methods to wave-lengths within the broadcasting band are summarized, and their bearing on the nature of signal fading is discussed. As a detailed example of the use of these methods the observations made on the occasion of the solar eclipse on the 29th June, 1927, are given.
