Rockwood, Jr.: In order to compute the losses in these transpositions which Mr. Summers has described, it is necessary to determine the percentage of slots in the winding having a given value of the angle θ between current in the top and bottom coil sides. Necessity for visualizing the winding may be done away with and the computation simplified by the following procedure:
