Abstract
The ETC program and its integration into the power engineering curriculum at Clemson University are described. The program has been successfully applied to several power courses at junior, senior, and graduate levels. A great deal of effort is being expended on planning the expansion of the ETC program and evaluation of the results of each semester´s efforts. The program has received excellent support from industry, and a great deal of improvement in oral and written communication skills has been noticed. The relation between Clemson University and the power industry enhances the opportunity to improve these skills
