Abstract :
One of the key factors to enhance the level of Chinese rural logistics is to evaluate and improve the operational efficiency of rural logistics service providers´ performance. By using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) method, the paper takes thirty Chinese rural logistics service providers out-output situations in 2011 as sample to process empirical study, which evaluates their own competitiveness and relative logistics performance objectively. The analysis shows that the main source of improving the efficiency of most rural logistics service providers relying on technology progress. Lastly, it puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations from the policy, capital, information and resources etc. basing on the government and industry perspective.
