Abstract :
As I started collecting thoughts for this article, Surgical Intuitive was among the four stocks that are fast approaching $700 per share, with the likes of Apple. Surgical Intuitive´s main product is the surgical robotic system aptly named DaVinci which is now in the second generation of its production phase. This is a rather remarkable achievement for an essentially new surgical instrument manufacturer. It signifies the readiness of the market and the public to go beyond traditional medical instrumentation boundaries.
