Abstract :
This paper presents a new 3D-sound algorithm using the TLA (table lookup architecture). The proposed architecture has the following advantages over the existing architectures: (1) it is programmable by changing the contents of the lookup table; and (2) it is also scaleable via table size for cost and fidelity. In particular, the low-cost implementation is proposed to target consumer multimedia applications such as TV, PC, and audio systems
