Abstract :
Moment-based estimation of the Nakagami-m fading parameter is studied. A family of new, generalized, estimators, based on real (integer and possibly noninteger) sample moments, is derived. A new integer-moment estimator that outperforms known integer-moment estimators is presented. The new moment-based estimators are asymptotically unbiased and efficient.
