Abstract :
Different domain decompositions for the smoother of a multigrid (MG) algorithm are presented and compared. For the smoother, a multiplicative Schwarz procedure with overlapping domains is used. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the different smoothers for brick-shaped edge finite elements with 36 edges
