Abstract :
Methods of analyzing three-dimensional magnetic fields using nonconforming mesh with edge elements are investigated. Two kinds of interpolation techniques at the nonconforming surface, of which the tangential components of the potential are discontinuous and continuous, are proposed. Both methods are compared with each other using a simple model from a viewpoint of the accuracy. It is shown that the tangential components of the potential should be continuous at the nonconforming surface
