Abstract :
In recent years, with the economic development of western China, the influence of Xinjiang CPI on national CPI is increasingly becoming great, so accurately predicting Xinjiang CPI has become very significant for the whole country. Considering this, this paper tentatively uses public attention based on Baidu search index to predict Xinjiang CPI. After clarifying the connections among public attention, Baidu search index, Xinjiang CPI from the theoretical aspect, the Baidu search index obtained from Baidu keywords automate recommendation function was synthesized to well measure public attention by stepwise synthetic method. Then this paper empirical analyzes the relationship between Xinjiang CPI and public attention based on Baidu search synthesis index. From the empirical result, the predicted average absolute error of the prediction model is 4.65%, meaning that public attention could well predict the fluctuation of Xinjiang CPI.
