Abstract :
This paper deals with the optimization of the performances of permanent magnet synchronous couplings. A nonlinear optimization process is used in association with a seminumerical method based on magnetic pole theory. This approach allows to find efficient and original structures of coupling. These unconventional structures are advantageous in terms of pull-out torque, inertia, and magnet volume
