Abstract :
The ISO standard "STEP" provides a complete representation of a product along with a description language, EXPRESS, and methods for the exchange of these product data. STEP geometry data are now supported by most computer aided design software. This paper presents a Java application reading a STEP compliant geometry, translating an I-DEAS mesh and performing magnetostatic field computation. A new STEP data model for the description of magnetostatics is described. The design and implementation of this data model is shown
