Unlimited vocabulary speech synthesis with low data rates

A new generation of single-chip CMOS speech synthesisers is now available which combines high speech quality, unlimited vocabulary sound-effect and musical synthesis, and operation from low-data-rate systems, with continuous speech capability. Significantly the memory required is very much smaller than that needed for fixed vocabulary synthesisers
