Abstract :
We describe a large-capacity on-board processing payload, designed for next generation satellite systems. It provides broadband multimedia services to mobile and fixed users, and assigns data rates ranging from a few Kbps up to 2 Mbps for an aggregate traffic capacity of about 9 Gbps. This regenerative payload is the key element of the EuroSkyWay communication system
