Abstract :
Millimeter-wave fiber links allow low-loss, wide-area distribution of multiple QPSK/QAM channels to remote antennas in broad-band wireless systems. It is shown experimentally that multiple digitally modulated channels can be transmitted over nondispersion shifted fiber up to at least 77 km in length without optical amplification and without being limited by dispersion effects at 1550 nm.
