Comments, with reply on ´Third-generation versus fourth-generation software development´ by S. Misra and P. Jalics

The commenter states that the above-mentioned paper (see ibid., vol.5, no.4, p.8-14, July 1988) contained incorrect statements about his company´s product, PC/Focus. He reports the building of an example case study around the very application that the authors said required a roundabout solution in PC/Focus, in which the total code needed to produce the application adds up to 31 lines, including declarations and executable statements. The authors reply that they implemented the proposed solution and it does not work.<>
