Abstract :
A compact optical transceiver composed of a newly designed InGaAs half-transmittance photodiode (HT-PD) and a 1.3 μm InGaAsP LD was fabricated and evaluated for TCM transmission systems. An HT-PD is used both as a photodetector and as a window for LD light. A fibre output power of 1.15 mW and a responsivity of 0.48 A/W were obtained
