Abstract
Correlated random errors in an arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) have been analysed statistically. Parameters for the resulting model were derived from the spectral response of a real AWG. When the estimated statistical parameters for phase errors were substituted into the model, the resulting spectral response was very similar to the measured response
