Abstract :
The authors present a new type of parallel-coupled bandpass filter (BPF) that uses the asymmetrical metallisation thickness properties of a coupled microstrip. A mode-matching method has been used to analyse this new structure and the simulation results have been validated by comparison with the measurement results. The results show that the asymmetrical metallisation thickness properties of coupled lines can be added to the design parameters of parallel-coupled BPF structure and other microwave applications
