Abstract
Metal/semiconductor/metal (MSM) UV photodetectors have been fabricated on self-supported diamond films. Such detectors offer a high UV sensitivity and optimum visible rejection, with very low dark conductivity up to 300°C. It is predicted that hybrid diamond/silicon carbide stacked structures can provide high temperature UV sensitivity in the entire 200-450 nm spectral range
