Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Networks plays an important role in many applications like industrial automation, intrusion detection, surveillance, agriculture and so on [1]. Large numbers of nodes which are low cost are distributed in area of application which coordinates with each other. MAC protocols are divided in two following categories: Asynchronous, Synchronous, Frame based and Multichannel. Here in this paper evolution of various Synchronous MAC protocols is discussed.
