Abstract :
The design and implementation of a differential encoder circuit for quadrature phase-shift-keyed systems is presented. The encoder is data rate independent and operates at a maximum speed of 200 Mbit/s channel when using commercially available ECL 100 K integrated circuits. This encoder has applications for both optical and microwave communication systems.
