Abstract
Design engineers are now presented with the option of using a new generation of 32 bit microprocessors to create equipment with vastly increased processing power and data throughput. Several new products are competing for the 32 bit microprocessor market, some offering much more than just a higher-power version of a 16 bit microprocessor. This article describes some of the factors considered in a recent evaluation
