Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis for the active control of interior noise in a structural-acoustic coupled system using two control actuators on different panels. A rectangular enclosure with four rigid walls and two simply supported flexible panels was developed for this control method, and zirconate titanate piezoelectric (PZT) actuators are bound to one of the flexible panels, meanwhile some point force actuators are applied to the other panel to reduce the sound radiated by the panel structure in the cavity. The control mechanisms for this enclosure are analyzed, when panel a are always modal restructuring, and panel b are dominantly modal suppression. With the two control mechanisms, good results are obtained in minimizing the sound pressure level (SPL) with the rectangular enclosure according to numerical investigations. The simulation indicated that the SPL in the location of the cavity can be reduced more efficient.
