Abstract :
Lamination of a fluorinated polyimide film on a UV-curable resin film for polarisation-controlling device applications is described. Using this technique, a waveguide polariser was fabricated and its performance was evaluated. Extinction ratios of not less than 28 dB and an insertion loss of 0.3 dB were obtained at the measured wavelength of 1.30 μm
