Abstract :
Although research on plasma light sources is a challenging task of growing complexity and demand on high-tech diagnostics, some questions can be answered by remarkably simple means. This paper shows two examples. First is an integrity test with the help of a spark tester, and second is the determination of the cold spot position for lamps with saturated filling.
