Abstract :
A hydrogen engine is a viable alternative solution for the hydrogen economy. This article discusses the relationship between NOx emissions and engine power density. To solve the tradeoff problem, we propose that it may be more effective to remove NOx in an after treatment system instead of preventing its generation by the engine. While the approach proposed here is challenging, it is a promising scheme for the development of zero emission vehicles.
