  • Abstract
    Nowadays, many countries have successfully introduced competition in production and open access to transmission. The operation ensure the power system security as well as ensure the power market economy is always interested in research. So, the requirements to ensure the power system security and to ensure the power market economy is always interested in research. This paper studies the optimal placement of SVC in power market that voltage stability is increased by PV curve as well as social welfare is increased by Locational Marginal Price (LMP). The research and application of SVC to meet the above requirements, which bring a lot of meaningful. PowerWorld 13 simulator are chosen to build up the calculation program, the test model is based on 39-bus IEEE test power system.
