Abstract :
The present paper is a reprint from the Proceedings of the IRE, vol.1, no.1, p.3-13 (1913). The paper discusses how to determine the radiation law of an antenna (the relation between the frequency of the alternating current in the radiator and the capacity of the radiator to emit energy). The concepts of radio resistance and reactance are also mentioned. Some editorial notes and a discussion conclude the paper.
