The challenge of lifelong learning

Professional career development is moving rapidly away from the old-style “qualification” as something enduring to fast-changing “just-in-time learning” mode as a response to changes in business conditions and technology. This paper examines some of the ingredients leading to that conclusion and the implications for professional engineers
