Abstract
Novel optical fibers fabricated from optical glasses with different dispersive characteristics are annealed under various conditions. Spectral properties of such dispersive fibers are greatly changed by annealing. It is shown that one of core and cladding index spectra can be shifted largely by annealing in case of fiber glasses with different transformation temperatures. We can therefore control properties of annealed dispersive fibers by adjusting the heat treatment
