Abstract :
This paper proposes a modified dot-overlap printer model used in error diffusion. It can reduce the distortion due to the dot-overlap effect introduced in laser printers. In the modified model-based error diffusion, multipass is not required and the bias in the gray scale of the printed images can be entirely eliminated.
