Abstract :
This letter proposes a transmit-diversity scheme using cyclic delay diversity (CDD) and energy spreading transform (EST) based modulation. It achieves full diversity over frequency-selective fading channels as well as flat fading channels for any number of transmit and receive antennas at a rate of one symbol per channel use. Its performance is shown by simulation to be considerably better than the previous full transmit-diversity techniques and approaches the performance bound when the diversity order of the system is sufficiently large.
