Abstract
In this letter, probability of node to base station connectivity in a one-dimensional ad hoc network is calculated. It is assumed that the location of the nodes follows a homogeneous Poisson point process, while the base stations are either another independent Poisson point process or with regular deployment. Nodes are connected to the base stations directly or in multi-hop fashion using other nodes. Analytical formulas are obtained and compared by numerical results and simulations.
