The worldwide energy problem is persuading some of the larger companies in the USA to explore new marketing opportunities. The giant Lockheed Corporation, with aircraft, offshore, space and missile expertise, is well placed to take advantage of some of these opportunities, and WAYNE SHANNON, energy-programmes manager, spoke to TONY PRINS recently about some of the alternative-energy projects being explored at the Lockheed Space & Missile Co. at Sunnyvale and Palo Alto in California
