Abstract :
A receiver detection technique is proposed by measuring the low-level leakage signal from a nearby receiver local oscillator. The probabilities of false alarm and missed detection are derived to quantify the detection performance. The technique provides higher sensitivity than a radiometer and is robust to estimation error even if the power spectral density of the ambient noise is unknown.
