Abstract :
Measuring equipment mapping a Point Spread Function distribution over scanned area to precisely evaluate nine distinctive quality parameters of the whole ultrasound imaging system using one measuring process was designed. The paper describes the method of measurement and specifies the obtained parameters including brief data of their uncertainty study. The method is dedicated mainly for complex tests of standard B-mode imaging systems using any type of transducer (including 3D) in frequency range 1 - 30 MHz.
