Abstract :
The IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement {IEEE Trans. Instrum. Meas.) is an official publication of the IEEE Society on Instrumentation and Measurement (S-IM). It is both an archival publication through which technical communication is conducted and a medium through which the Society communicates with its members. This Transactions, now 30 years old, traces its history to May 1952, when it was first published by the Professional Group on Instrumentation of the Institute of Radio Engineers. Historically, the Society publishes four quarterly Transactions a year, one of which (the December issue prior to 1982 and now the March issue) is designated a special issue containing selected papers from the Society-sponsored conferences, Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurement (CPEM) and the Electrical and Electronic Measurement and Test Instrument Conference (EEMTIC).
