Announcing 1986 Prize Paper Award

Instrumentation and Measurement Society is pleased to announce that the winners of the 1986 Andrew R. Chi Prize Paper Award are Waymond R. Scott, Jr. and Glenn S. Smith, for their paper "ERROR ANALYSIS FOR DIELECTRIC SPECTROSCOPY USING SHIELDED OPEN-CIRCUITED COAXIAL LINES OF GENERAL LENGTH," which was published in the June 1986 TRANSACTIONS. The award presentation was made during IMTC/87 April 29, 1987 during the awards banquet at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. This award, named for this TRANSACTIONS\´ former editor, Andrew Chi consists of a Certificate of Recognition and $500, or up to $1000 to be evenly divided in the instance of multiple authorship. Paper selection is based on the ability of the author to communicate the subject matter to nonexperts.
