Abstract :
Some mobile train radio measurements were conducted in the UHF band in northern India in urban, suburban, and open environmental zones. The path losses deduced from the experimental observations were compared with different path-loss prediction techniques. The results showed that uniform theory of diffraction (UTD) gives good agreement in the urban zone, and overall Hata´s (1980) method shows reasonable agreement in all the environmental zones
