Abstract
The underlying theory of dimensional analysis is reviewed, and some classical scientific uses of the principle are recalled. This is followed by discussions of a computer software package that has been developed to facilitate dimensional analysis. Several examples of the types of modeling errors that have been detected by the use of the package are discussed. Finally, attention is drawn to some theoretical ideas, relevant to management science in general, which emerge from dimensional considerations.
