Abstract
A new linearized model is developed for the Granlund combiner that is useful in determining the combiner performance with physically realizable filters and with dynamic variations such as rapid fading and burst signals. The model is tailored for use in determining automatic gain control (AGC) stability. The model is also tailored for use in predicting combiner transient phase correction error.
