Abstract :
The problem of selecting a specified number of elements from a set, where the elements to be selected have a particular property, is addressed. The concept of a fuzzy subset is used to represent the property required of the selected elements. Another fuzzy subject concept, a linguistic quantifier, is used to specify the number of elements desired. A significant role in this approach is played by the cardinality of a fuzzy subset.
