Abstract :
The use of dissipation factor as a test to establish the degree of cure of polymers used as dielectric materials in magnet wire coatings is considered. The data used were collected for a sole coat configuration, a single polymer applied in multiple layers. Guidelines are given for incorporating dissipation factor measurement as an inspection tool in magnet wire manufacture.<>
