Abstract
A low-complexity multi-input multi-output (MIMO) detector, based on asymmetric poly-diagonalisation and trellis decoding, is investigated. The proposed scheme is an improved version of the MIMO detection based on `channel shortening` and trellis decoding. The channel shortening is performed asymmetrically for both forward and backward recursion.
