            Abstract :
Laser diode spectral linewidth is measured by mixing the carrier and direct-modulation sidebands in an all-fibre delayed self-homodyne scheme. The detected signal contains the laser spectral noise at the modulation frequency, thereby obviating the need for optical modulators or large-index direct modulation in other frequency-shifting techniques
