Abstract
A summary report on a view of the state of the art and the potential performance benefits and limitations of UWB technology, with particular emphasis on radar applications, is presented. This review was carried out at the request of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The focus is on issues pertinent to impulse radar. Recommendations are made for future US Dept. of Defense investments in UWB radar related studies and analyses.<>
